Aluminum sulfate is a white crystal, soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acidic. The dehydration temperature is 86.5 ℃, and the crystal water is lost when heated to 250 ℃. Anhydrous aluminum sulfate starts to decompose when heated to 300 ℃. A white crystal with a pearly luster.
